Tiwa Babies is a service delivery that matches expectant parents/caregivers and parents/caregivers of children 0-5 years old with a qualified family support specialist. Tiwa Babies services promote optimal child and family development. Services are universal, at no cost, and provided in the family’s home or another location of the family’s choice. We offer our services to Native Families and Non-Native Families living in Taos County.

To unite community efforts to enhance the health and well being of all Taos County residents. Holds monthly meetings for health care providers and agencies to collaborate on these efforts.
County & Tribal health councils, established by the New Mexico legislature in HB137, help communities organize to identify and address local health priorities. Reaffirmed in 2019 by the County and Tribal Health Care Act (HB 137), health councils are mandated to identify community needs, resources, and priorities; evaluate the community’s system of care with an equity lens; and support education, programming and advocacy efforts to improve community health.

Taos Food Not Bombs shares free vegan and vegetarian meals and groceries on the Taos Plaza - Everyone welcome!

We distribute food on the 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of every month, all year long. We open to the public from 8:30 – 12 noon in El Prado and also distribute from 3:00-4:00 at the Talpa Community Center.
