The Bloomfield Seniors non-profit organization strives to contribute to their community through various youth work programs, service learning, volunteerism and educational scholarships. The organization conducts fundraising throughout the year to contribute to these and many other aspects of community involvement that promote senior living and the betterment of the community around us.
The Senior Center serves lunch Monday - Thursday from noon - 12:45 pm.
Home delivered meals are delivered daily Monday - Thursday. Â Meals for the entire week and weekend (if requested) are delivered within this 4-day time frame. ÂCall the center to get more information about the Home Delivery or Congregate Meal Programs. Â 505-632-8351

The mission of Gathings Gardens is to provide organic produce to local families using a holistic traditional farming approach. Our farming practices includes using solar power, conserving water, and utilizing regenerative agriculture practices. Our mission is to teach these agriculture techniques to the future farmers through vocational courses and intern opportunities.

Since 2012, the Jicarilla Mustang Heritage Alliance has been dedicated to the welfare of New Mexico's wild horses. Our goal is to promote effective herd and land management strategies; for the mustangs gathered, we aspire to unite them with the best possible adoptive homes, and inform people about humane training techniques. We strive to educate the public about wild horse management in the modern world, and we hope to create lasting mustang/human partnerships that always put the horse first.Â
    In short our vision is to connect mustangs with humans, one horse at a time. Jicarilla Mustang Heritage Alliance continues to pursue the preservation of mustangs by means effective herd management and of responsible ownership . We seek to influence the public through education on training practices that put the horse first. We strive to take the lead in being part of the solution by building partnerships and finding common ground strategies of cooperation with other agencies that have the mustang's interests in mind. -
The Cultural Complex houses the City's:
The Event Center includes a lobby which houses a permanent art collection as well as revolving art displays and historical exhibits. Available facilities include a conference room which is ideal for meetings of small groups of up to 12 people and the main room of the center which will accommodate large groups of people up to 150; it may be divided with soundproof curtains into three separate rooms. Tables and chairs are available as well as a full size commercial kitchen. It is a perfect facility for:

Better Bloomfield Community and Family Resource Program's mission is to support the enrollment and education of highly mobile/ displaced students. The intention of this program is to provide highly mobile/ displaced students with the same educational opportunities as traditionally housed students by removing as many barriers to learning for these students as possible.

The Imagination Station, located in Bloomfield, NM, is a childcare facility that supervises and cares for children. Daycare services support parents and guardians by caring for children too young to be left alone, most often children too young to attend school or school-aged children that require before or after school care.Imagination Station Preschool (EMERG OPEN) is a Child Care Center in Bloomfield NM, with a maximum capacity of 30 children. This child care center helps with children in the age range of Infant, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6-12 years old.

The Love The Children Learning Center, located in Bloomfield, NM, is a childcare facility that supervises and cares for children. Daycare services support parents and guardians by caring for children too young to be left alone, most often children too young to attend school or school-aged children that require before or after school care.

Bloomfield Schools' attendance area covers approximately 1500 square miles. There are seven schools which house approx. 3000 students. Approximately one-third of the students are Anglo, one-third Hispanic and one-third are Navajo. All schools are accredited by the State of New Mexico.
Communities served by the Bloomfield Schools are: Archuleta, Nageezi, Navajo Dam, Chaco Canyon, West Hammand, Blanco Canyon, Largo Canyon, Blanco Trading Post Area, Dzilth-Na-O-Dith-Hle, Navajo Agriculture Products, Inc. (N.A.P.I.), Huerfano, Bloomfield, Carson, Pump Canyon, Gobernador, Blanco, Turley, Escrito, Sims mesa, Lybrook, and Kimbeto.

- Seasonal Sports are also a popular activity, boy’s basketball, girl’s basketball, cheerleading, volleyball, archery and boxing.

The Boys Scouts of America is chartered as an educational organization. There are over 200 educational programs for the boys to choose from, such as Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venture Scouts, Explore Post- (Career Oriented) and Family Oriented Programs.

Navajo Dual Language Development
Funded by the Kellogg Charitable Foundation, REC-1 and Bloomfield Schools are partnering to develop a comprehensive PreK–grade 12 dual language system to support Navajo students achieve success.
Supporting Equity in Dual Language
Funded by the Kellogg Charitable Foundation, REC-1 is supporting Bloomfield and Farmington dual language programs by funding opportunities for teachers and administrators to strengthen implementation of their districts’ dual language approaches.
SEL4NM / LANL Foundation
In collaboration with the Social-Emotional Alliance for New Mexico (SEL4NM), REC-1 is supporting the development of statewide resources and leadership in social-emotional development for all New Mexicans.

Medical Services designs and delivers quality accessible integrated health, education, and human services in response to identified community needs of the multi-cultural people of the Southwest. Infant, 1, 2, 3 years old Outdoor play area fenced; Special Needs: Program has strong commitment to inclusion;

Mental health counseling to individuals, families, and couples; substance abuse counseling and assessments.

Service Provided:
IMMUNIZATION CLINIC: held in Bloomfield, call for appointment.
FAMILY PLANNING SERVICES: held in Bloomfield and based on a sliding scale fee. Offering annual exams, pap smears, birth control methods, counseling, pre-pregnancy planning, pregnancy tests, and emergency contraception. Call for appointment.
SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASE SCREENING AND TREATMENT: call for appointment.
HIV TESTING: Confidential or anonymous screening, treatment, and counseling. Call for appointment. TUBERCULOSIS, SCREENING AND FOLLOW-UP: We screen contacts of active cases of tuberculosis, and foreign-born individuals. Call for appointment.
FLU SHOTS: Target population is individuals over age 65 and/or people with chronic illness. Held in late fall in Bloomfield, Aztec and Blanco.
COMMUNICABLE DISEASE FOLLOW-UP: We follow up on cases of
reportable diseases such as salmonella, hepatitis, whooping cough, measles, and tuberculosis. Services are available to individuals with reportable diseases.
WOMEN, INFANTS, AND CHILDREN (WIC) NUTRITIONAL PROGRAM: Services are available by appointment and eligibility is based on family income and size. We serve women with children up to age 5, pregnant women, and postpartum women. Families FIRST Program: Families FIRST is a free program offered by the New Mexico Department of Health. The program provides case management services by registered nurses for Medicaid-eligible pregnant women and children up to 3 years of age. Families FIRST improves pregnancy outcomes and promotes healthy children and families by connecting clients with medical, social, and educational resources in the community. Families FIRST helps with obtaining: Prenatal care, Medicaid, SNAP, TANF and WIC benefits, childbirth and parenting classes, car seats and transportation to medical appointments and referral to community resources. -
