In-home healthcare provides an alternative for New Mexicans and their families faced with the challenges of chronic illness, aging, and changed ability. For many families, placing their loved ones in assisted living facilities is unaffordable or inaccessible. Caring for our elderly and sick within the home is important to cultural identity and values of many New Mexicans. The families and members of NAMI San Juan County NM are here to help! We offer understanding to anyone concerned about mental illnesses and the treatment of mental illness.
Mental illnesses are brain disorders that are biologically based medical problems. Untreated, they can cause severe disturbances in thinking, feeling and relating. This results in substantially diminished capacity for dealing with the ordinary demands of life. Mental illness can affect persons of any age and occur in any family. They are not caused by bad parenting and not evidence of weakness of character.

CAYA is a free 7-month Christ-centered residential treatment program located in Farmington, New Mexico, for women overcoming addictions.
Our residential treatment program provides 24-hour long-term care for 7 months with a 5-month transition to women who are 18 years of age or older, have come to a place of true brokenness, and are ready to surrender their lives to become new in Jesus Christ.
The focus is on helping the women spiritually learn or re-establish healthy functioning skills and values.
Our program also encourages the involvement of family in the journey. Since addiction and associated recovery are very much interconnected with family, we encourage them to visit during specified days and times while their loved one is in treatment.

A doula is a person, often formally trained or certified, who provides physical, emotional, and informational support to individuals and families during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Doulas can specialize further—some of the specialization areas are listed below. A person doing this type of work may also choose to use a different title other than doula, such as “birth companion” or “promotora.”
Community-Based Doula: Community-based doulas are birth workers serving families within varying communities that center African descended people, Indigenous families, and people of color. Community-Based Doulas understand the importance of seeing a birthing individual, baby, and partner as a connected unit. This support is responsive to the whole birth experience and considers how physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual experiences impact pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum period. Community-Based Doulas serve in a human rights framework to ensure that all people and families have access to safe, dignified, and culturally relevant care geared toward elevating the platforms of health equity, reproductive justice, and all stages of maternal health.

Childhaven’s Forensic Interviewers and Family Advocates aid in the investigation of cases of abuse and neglect, while providing support to the child victims and their families. Children who are involved in a criminal investigation – because they have witnessed or been victims of violent or sexual crimes – are brought to our CACs where our trained staff conduct a developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed, forensically defensible, interview. This interview is recorded for and distributed to involved law enforcement agencies so the child doesn’t have to repeat the traumatic events they have experienced and can move on to healing through therapy, available on site, case management, victim advocacy, and other behavioral health services that they and their families can access with help from our family advocates.

Post Service Officer Mark Decker -
We have renamed the new center “Four Corners Cancer Center” to reflect the reality that San Juan Oncology Associates is the epicenter for treatment of cancer and blood-related diseases for more than four states. In tandem with San Juan Regional Medical Center’s Radiation Oncology Service, we provide a complete range of diagnostic/genetic diagnostic, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation, and support services. As the only certified and highly experienced center for clinical trails in our complex specialty, we also welcome patients from many parts of the United States who are referred here for the state-of-the-art trials that offer the latest and often superior treatments for patients who respond poorly to standard treatments for their particular form of disease.
San Juan Oncology Associates’ physicians, nurses and Clinical Research Coordinators are highly trained, experienced and certified oncology/hematology specialists. They regularly attend national conferences to remain current in new developments and to reinforce professional interactions with oncology and hematology professionals in specialized centers throughout the United States. Should a patient require a procedure or treatment not available at our center, our physicians employ these ties as well as their comprehensive knowledge of current oncology and hematology literature to refer the patient to an appropriate center. Additionally, our physicians are fully credentialed and offer both inpatient and out-patient treatment.
